If you plan on travelling in Costa Rica, you do need to have a map of Costa Rica. There are very few road signs in the country, but a map will have all the areas outlined for your and you can see where all the roads are. This type of map is designed with the traveller in mind because it gives the mileage between the different points. You can easily pick up a map at one of the many locations for tourists in Costa Rica, but you can also get one before you go. You can download a map from the Internet and have every detail of your vacation planned out. On many of the Internet sites that offer you a map of Costa Rica, there is a zoom feature that allows you to zoom in on specific areas and enlarge them on your computer screen. You can see at a glance the streets in the area and whether or not a certain area is isolated or not. If you are only interested in certain features of the country, such as the national parks you can get a map that lists only these features. The same thing applies to specific locations. For example, you can get a map of San Jose to help you find your way around the city, or you can get a map of Monetverde if that is where you want to spend most of your time. | ||
