On a Costa Rica adventure vacation you can see lava pouring from the Arenal Volcano and get to see a volcanic eruption. The best time to take this vacation is between December and April because this is when the weather is at its best. Of, course this is tourist season and the prices are usually higher. If you prefer to have less trouble getting reservations at the popular resorts, the off-season from May to November is best and the prices and crowds are lower as well. The weather tends to be rainy during this time of year and some roads may even be impassable because of the wet conditions. If you plan to do shopping during your Costa Rica Adventure vacation, you should avoid going there during Easter week and the week between Christmas and New Years. The country unofficially closes down during these times for religious and family celebrations. During the rest of the year, there are many opportunities to avail of the cultural items you can purchase and the many markets where sales are always possible. A Costa Rica adventure vacation provides you with an opportunity to swim in both the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea as both oceans border the country. Some areas on the northwestern Pacific coast are difficult to reach because of the lack of paved roads, but it is well worth a visit because of the remote beaches offering privacy.
